Emerson's first day

Emerson was super excited to start back to preschool today!
My sweet girl- she loves to have her picture made!
And Caroline and I will be hanging out together. I don't think I could spoil her any more than she already is. She is constantly at my side wanting me to hold her and asks "Where'd my Mommy go?" everytime she doesn't see me. Kirt says I created this little attatched 3rd child who never leaves my side! And no, her mommy is not ready for her to go to school yet- maybe next year!

Birthday Girl

Caroline with both of her Grandmas. Two of her very favorite people
We made home-made ice cream for her party. We made vanilla, peach, strawberry, and berry sorbet
Andrew & Caroline- can't believe they are two!
She tried to carry all of her new stuff at once- she was afraid to set it down because she is the third child and knows what happens if you leave something behind- some one else will come and play with it! Sharing is not in her vocabulary yet!

Ice Cream Cake Pops

We are having an Ice Cream themed party so I practiced my cupcakes today- my friend found these cute cake pops on Bakerella and I HAD to make them. They were very easy- bake a cake, mix it with frosting, shape it into balls and place in the freezer. Then melt candy melts and put the cake balls into a cone and pour melted candy on top- they look just like real ice cream!

Brithday girl

The girls playing "Chick-fil-a" drive thru- their favorite game Do you see her jean leggings? "Jeggings" She is very stylish

Firsts

Sam's first day of second grade
First day of ballet class
And we didn't know it was going to be Caroline's first dance class too- but she went right in and participated in the whole class. She never stopped smiling! I never thought I would be signing her up for dance before she even turns TWO! I guess I am going to be on the lookout for a size 2T leotard.

Paint Paint and more Paint

I got my new House Beautiful magazine this week and got the decorating bug! I went to Home Depot first thing Tuesday morning and got started. I painted my stair bannister then I attacked the fireplace mantle. Two coats of black paint and I called in the experts. My friends (who have an awesome talent for decorating) came and fixed my mantle- I painted it black and Amy put a gold glaze on it! It looks amazing!
Then my friends started rearranging my furniture! It seems like a new house! So thankful to have such great friends with a creative insight!

Rodeo Fun

Check out my new boots! I LOVE them! I can't wait to find more skirts and dresses to wear them with! Caroline loves that Grandpa & Grandma rented a slurpee machine for the weekend! She cries when you take it away from her!
The kids ready for the rodeo!
Kirt & his cousins and his brothers and sister
Sam did an awesome job on the mechanical bull
Emerson had her face painted like a butterfly- she insisted on the lip stick too! She cried when we washed it off so she could go to bed! We may have to have this face painter come to the next birthday party!
And the best way to end the night?! Dippin Dots Ice Cream!
