Isn't it lovely!

We hope this tree doesn't break or our fence will be a victim!
Here is a picture of the kids toys-- the plastic car and the firetruck!

After the kids go to bed....

After the kids went to bed Kirt & I went and played in the snow--- yes it took some convincing to get my husband to turn off his laptop and go into the cold snow! But we had so much fun! We built a huge snow man and a few of our neighbors came out and pelted Kirt with snow balls! It is kinda funny that the adults were playing outside at 10:00 pm! I took the last picture to show how deep the snow was!

Snow Day Part 2

At the end all three girls ended up in the back of Gayle's van to seek the heat and get out of the snow! Look how deep her boots sank into the snow!
Caroline with her red nose and cheeks!
Sam LOVED sledding! Thankfully our neighbors were so nice to let us borrow the sleds!

Snow Day Part 1

Emerson--- she wasn't sure about the snow-- when I asked her if she wanted to have a snowball fight this morning when she woke up she said "Is that a new game on the Wii?" It didn't take long before she knew the true meaning of a snow ball fight! Our Snow Angel. Sam got up at 6:15 and was out in the snow by 6:30. As soon as he went outside he ran to my neighbors (YES at 6:30 AM) and rang their doorbell to ask them if we could borrow their sleds! Thankfully they had already left for school/work!
ANDY, loves the snow! He chases it and is so happy!

Emerson's packing up

I opened Emerson's closet and this is what I found.... Then I found her clothes all packed in Kirt's suitcase. Kirt has been traveling lately so I guess she figures if she is packed then she can go too! I think rain boots are the cutest!

Andrew's other mommy

Caroline was reading a book on Sam's bed. She is 17 months old already! Hard to believe! Andy was VERY GUILTY! Meredith helped the kids make sugar cookies with sprinkles. Andy stepped up on the black step-stool and ate the majority of the cookies! Bad dog!
Andrew & Caroline
The title of this post is Andrew's other mommy--- referring to Emerson. She is constantly "helping" Andrew and wants to do everything for him. She even tried to pick him up and put him in the high chair. Andrew is pretty agreeable too!

Rainy Day fun

Yes, they are sitting on the top of the box/house. Notice that Sam wrote no girls allowed so Brooke wrote no boys allowed
Emerson, Grandma, Caroline, & Max
My kids were HIGHLY dissapointed when I got canceled from work today. They were so excited to go to Grandma's house so I packed them up and we went and had pizza at my moms. My mom had a HUGE cardboard box cut into a playhouse that the kids have been playing with for a few weeks so she brought it into the house!

Reviving an old blog

OK, so I have decided to change my other blog to a crafty blog instead of my sewing stuff. I really am not sewing too many nursing covers and I have not been keeping up with new fabrics so instead I will post my fun craft ideas there! Hope you enjoy it!

Aprons

I got the sewing bug today and made an apron for Emerson. I thought it turned out cute. It was a little high maintence and I'm not sure that I will make Caroline one. The first thing Emerson asked is if I will make one for her baby doll.

Time to slow down

This is a link to a website that I love to read. It just put everything into perspective today! Hope you stop to think about the things you are "going to miss"

American Girl outing

We had a girls day with our friends today at American Girl! I forgot my camera so I used my phone. I will post the good pictures when I get them from Jennifer!
SO much fun! I think I spent as much time getting "Baby Julie" ready to go this morning as I did myself! I had to dress her, brush her hair, look for her tights and shoes, then re-do her hair since Emerson had taken off her headband! I ended up putting on my own makeup in the car because I had no idea that getting a baby doll ready was so intense!
Then we got there and Emerson wanted to get her baby's hair fixed. This was a big ordeal--- they have beauty shop chairs (complete with straps- in case your baby doll misbehaves and tries to escape?!) and they put clips in to pull it up so they can concentrate on one section at a time and the baby also wears a cape so she doesn't get her dress dirty! Emerson and Lucy loved this! And baby Julie looks like a million bucks! LITERALLY!
Then we got the baby and Emerson a matching shirt and of course a carrying bag!

Toys Toys Toys

Tina got Caroline this cute apron! I love it! I just noticed that she was wearing it inside out! Sorry- but I will go ahead and post it anyways! She LOVES her brother! We were playing with the Easy Bake Oven!
She loves her new oven! Even if it does take 20 minutes to make ONE cookie! and did I mention that the mixes are sold individually!
Sweet little Caroline started walking over Christmas! Let me clarify this--- not walking but RUNNING! I guess she waited almost 16 months so she could just take off! She is such a laid back and happy girl although she still prefers to be held!
Hilarious! Caroline found the wooden spoon on the floor and immediatly picked it up and started spanking Sam. She has obviously never gotten a spanking so it cracked me up that she knew just what I use it for!
Sam is busy preparing for his pine derby race with boyscouts! He is working really hard on his car! So proud of it!
The girls got a playhouse for Christmas! It has been a little too cold to play out there but they love it!
