Emerson's birthday party

Our little Emerson Grace turns 4 next weekend! We started off the birthday week with her party at ASI gymnastics. You can see from the picture above that she couldn't wait to get home and dress her American Girl doll, Julie, in her new outfit. Thanks Halle & Lucy Kate for baby Julie's new outfit! Emerson wanted Julie's picture taken too in her new clothes. Emerson has some fun friends that joined her at ASI. Emerson wanted at Dora theme for her party! Emerson loved swinging on the ropes- just like Dora the Explorer The take home gifts were backpacks with their names on them and a few goodies inside! I thought the backpacks tied into the Dora theme!

The Heights had a family fun night called "The Big Splash" we had dinner with our Sunday school class and then headed to the church for water slides! The kids had a blast! Sam LOVED the dunking tank! I thought this was so funny! The girls were all in Sam's business when he got his teeth cleaned! We love our pediatric dentist! He makes going to the dentist fun!

My mom and I orginally planned to go to the Dallas Zoo on Thursday- we got to the entrance and it was packed- Note to self: never go to the zoo on dollar day! We went to the Musuem of Nature & Science insead in Fair Park. The kids had a great time. They all LOVED the water table!

And there is a dressup area where you can dress like a fireman! I wouldn't let her wear the hat- too many germs! We don't want lice!

VBS -- Family Style

Here are a few pictures from VBS this week. The Heights did Family VBS. We played games, learned fun songs and watched some great skits. Tracey and Josh got chosen to go up on the stage to play a game and Sam went with them because they had to have 4 people. Sam and Brooke definetly are not shy! Anytime they asked for volunteers they were the first to raise their hands and run up on the stage! They must take after their daddy's!
