Fall Pictures

Tracey & I took the kids for their fall photo session today! I always forget it is a little stressful with five kids trying to get them all to smile and not get too dirty in the process. I must have said 100 times- keep your hands off of your sister! All in all I guess I got good pictures so it was successful!

Random pictures

This week the girls went to the dentist to get their teeth cleaned. They LOVE it- Emerson says the gloves taste like grape or bubble gum- so we were sure to take home two pairs of our own so we could play dentist at home.

Kirt's work had a family day at the Ballpark. It was awesome- we watched the game (in the shade) and it was all you can eat hot dogs, nachos, and popcorn so the kids were in heaven! Sam was complaining of a tummy ache the next day from so much popcorn- I tried to warn him =)

Marveolus Maverick

Sam LOVES school this year. His teacher emailed me this week and said he was getting a special award this morning at the Rise & Shine presentation this morning. Sam was so suprised and SO happy to get the Marvelous Maverick award. What an honor that it is his first few weeks at the new school and he already made a good impression on his teacher! I am so so proud of my third grader!

These are all the 3rd and 4th graders that also got chosen.

First Day #2

Emerson started her Pre-K class on Tuesday. She will go 4 days a week. She was so excited to put on her uniform and new shoes. Last night when I sat out her uniform for Wednsday she said "Am I going to wear that again tomorrow" I explained to her that I have 4 of these dresses and she will wear them everyday. She cried when I left her but she always cries every Sunday at church and at Preschool. She said she had a good day.

new school + new friends

Last week Sam's new school hosted a back to school parade. It was so fun. The kids all made posters with their teachers names.

There are 6 third grade classes each class is full with 20 students! Thats ALOT of kids in one school. Our school had 855 students last year. It is the biggest elementary in the district.

First day! As you can imagine with that many kids traffic is terrible! So we parked and walked to school.

After school we hit the pool. We had it all to ourselves! The Greenwoods came and joined us! My sister lives only 5 minutes away!

Recents

I have been having technical difficulties loading pictures- so I have resorted to loading my camera pictures. Here are the random pictures and what we have been up to!

The kids have been LOVING Just Dance for the Wii- as you can see Emerson likes to "help" Caroline.

Emerson showing off her new Toms- these are her new school shoes. Yes we fought the crowds on tax-free weekend. got Caroline a pair too. I figured if I waited for 30 minutes at Nordstroms with 3 kids I might as well get 2 pairs! They haven't taken them off. In fact, Emerson has planned her outfit for church tomorrow around her shoes- she might be a little bit like her mommy.

My mom got the kids school workbooks. It kept them busy for a long time- I had Tracey's kids that day too. But don't be fooled- five minutes after this picture they had every pillow and blanket and made a HUGE fort in the living room. Andrew and Meredith came to join the fun.

Sweet Caroline- please pray for her as she is going under anesthesia again this week to biopsy her esophagus. She will start physcal theraphy 3 times a week in September. If they don't find a cause for her swallowing problems after this procedure then we will just treat the symptoms.
