Allie Ruby

We got a new dog- her name is Allie.   She is a one year old Golden.    We adopted her from a friend- actually the same friend that we got Andy from- they had Andy's mom.    She is such a sweet dog- as you can tell from the pictures she doesnt have the best manners.     She has not barked or growled at all in two weeks then tonight we heard her growling we looked around and realized she was barking at the fish.    I guess she saw the fish swimming around and decided he might be dangerous.    She has been busy for the past 30 minutes guarding the fish.     

The kids LOVE her- she is actually much better with the kids than Andy.   She lets them pull her and climb all over her.    She has entertained the kids and they love to throw her tennis ball.   Andy tolerates her- she puts her in her place every once in a while if she gets in his way- he was watching tv- yes Andy loves to bark at the tv- and Allie stole his ball but quickly gave it back.

Dash Down

I have been running since January.   My friend Shelby and I ran the Dash Down Greenville this morning.   It was my first 5K.   I finished at 36 minutes- I know that's not great but I was so proud to run the whole 3 miles only walking for a few minutes. Like our cute socks?!   You know we had to look cute while running!

We were so happy to have water in the lake.  We went for about 2 days of spring break.

Picture Dump

 Valentines Party at Emersons School.    Caroline is going to theraphy 3 days a week and I just dont have the energy to bring my big camera- so theses are the pictures off of my phone.    Not great quality but they will have to do!

 Here is the table I refinished with the Graphite and dark wax

 I got the painting bug one week.    I went and bought the Annie Sloan Chalk paint- which sticks to EVERYTHING with no sanding or priming.   This is my kind of paint!    I am looking for things to paint- I sit and look around my house for the next project!   My bathroom cabinets still need door pulls but I think they turned out great.   I may do my kitchen island with the graphite color.   

 Sam made this cake all by himself!    He had to make it for the boyscouts Blue & Gold banquet.   His cake won second place.

 Kirt's family invited us to the Catholic Foundation Awards Gala at the Hotel InterContenial.    If you look really closley at the picture above that is Roger Staubach walking behind us.   Kirts sister, Tina, stopped him and asked him for a picture.    It was really fun getting all dressed up!

 We are enjoying my dad being retired- Caroline and I like to go by and keep him company when my mom is at work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  

I repainted Caroline's dresser with the Annie Sloan Chalk paint.   I wish I had taken a before picture!

Fun with the Great Grandparents

We went to my Grandparents today since the kids were out of school.   Sam asked Great Grandpa to throw the football with him.    So he couldn't say no.    I had to grab my phone and take a picture.   Just proves that the Grandkids give them alot of energy!   Sam was excited to see Great Grandpa's old football pictures.
