A month in pictures

Caroline and baby Sarah- waiting for tubes and adenoid surgery yesterday.    It went well.   The medicine had an opposite effect on her and she was so hyper and did not nap all day.   She insisted on going to carpool to pick the kids up in the afternoon.    She is a little cranky today and says her throat hurts but it hasn't slowed her down.    She won't let the kids touch her baby doll or sit in "her" chair to watch tv.   They just move out of her way.

Here is our 12 year old dog Andy.   He is getting so old and having a hard time getting up on the tile.   He kept walking over to the chair last night and then looking at Kirt.   It was like he was asking if we would put him in his chair.    He used to LOVE to sit in this chair.    Kirt did help him up there and he looked so comfy.

Mother/Son camo cookout at church.   We had a marshmallow war.    The kids made marshmallow guns out of PVC pipe and we had contests to shoot targets.  Then it turned into an all out war when we got to shoot marshmallows at each other.
Emerson's Homework (in other words- Mommy's homework) was to make an all about me poster for school.   She was Star Student last week.
Sam had a speaking part at school for his Rise and Shine.   He did a great job!
Meredith & I- one of my best friends.  We have been friends since we were 16.
Our other best friend, Ashlee came in town from Georgia this weekend!   We had 24 hours with her- we had to steal her away from her husband & family!   We shopped, we laughed, we ate.    We owe Ashley a trip to Atlanta to visit her next time!

My brother in law Joe got a scooter.   I was the brave one that rode it.   I will not post the video- but I talk a big game but really only went about 5 mph around the circle drive.   Not a real ride- but I looked official!
Caroline went to a birthday party at a pumpkin patch
Top Golf with our cousin Tyler.   Hot Chocolate & an overhead heater made it more bearable on this cold morning.
Tyler spent the day in Allen with us.

 Kirt's birthday at Top Golf.

We had lunch for Kirt's birthday at Pantina Green in downtown McKinney.
American Girl Bistro with Grandma Peggy for a girls night while the boys went boyscout camping!
I have been busy making pillow for my couch and window seat.

Random picture dump

I looked outside yesterday and found Andy in the kids playhouse and Allie laying outside-    The kids always play "Chick-fil-A drive-thru"    I think maybe the dogs were playing also.
Caroline went to a fun Pizza Birthday party.   She got her own pizza to make and a cute chef hat
The Allen Eagle came to the kids school for Homecoming Spirit week!   They were so excited.
Sam is a Weeblo now.    Let me know if you want to buy popcorn.
Friday Night Lights- the new Allen Eagle stadium is AWESOME

Roller skating with Grandma Karen before school started.   Sam used his own money to buy roller blades.

Soccer

Emerson had her first soccer game this weekend.    She was so excited to wear her uniform and her bow and shoulder scrunchies.    I think that was more exciting to her than the game.     She did great and even made a goal.

Here is her picture of her first goal!
Sam is on a new team this season.    He did great of course.    The picture below makes me laugh because he is smiling even when he plays soccer!

Happy birthday Sweet Caroline

First Day

My big 4th grader- he was excited to start school.   His teacher's husband works with Kirt.   We were excited that we got a great teacher.
My big Kindergartner.   She did great at drop off.   No tears- from her or us.

The kids did great at drop off today.   Emerson didnt even cry on her first day of Kindergarten.   She was excited to give her teacher her gift and sat down and colored.   Sam did fine too.    No tears from Kirt or I either.    After drop off I had breakfast with my Sunday School Class for a Ya-hoo Boo-Hoo breakfast.   Caroline is happy to have me to herself again- she has smiled all day.

The adventures of baby Sara

Baby Sara was a Christmas gift a few years ago from my Grandparents.    She quickly became Caroline's favorite.   She has been everywhere with us- here are a few of her adventures- that is until tragedy struck last week.
Here she is at the beach
 And at the Drs office
The pictures are out of order--but last Friday night baby Sara had a huge tragedy.    Emerson accidently pulled her arm off- Baby Sara had gotten stuck between the seat and door in the car and when Emerson tried to get her the arm tore off.    I thought Caroline was going to be so sad- but since she watched Shark Week last week on Discovery Channel and also she had seen the movie Soul Surfer about Bethany Hamilton getting her arm bitten off by a shark she got creative.    The first thing she said- is "It's OK- Baby Sara is just like Bethany now".    She would not let the baby doll back in her room to sleep until I sewed her arm back on.    Now she is ok again (her arm might be sewn on backwards but Caroline didn't notice)   She loves her anyways.

 Fishing at the ponds
She had all her babies lined up and asked me to come take their picture.
They go to the swimming pool in their shopping cart.
And on a boat ride.
