Terrible Threes
Our new BEST FRIEND! The Magic Erase will take anything off! It is a bit addicting- from cleaning the stove to the walls to light switch plates!
Emerson found a crayon in her room during nap time. Thanks to our friend the magic eraser, it all came off!
Sam was nice enough to help too.
Yes, Emerson is definetly in the TERRIBLE threes. At least 3 tantrums every hour as well as her constant motion. I finally had to move the giant container of animal crackers off of the counter when I found her standing on top of the container to reach on top of the refigerator. Last week I found her hanging onto the top bar in her closet. She had pushed a stool over to the closet to reach something on the top and was hanging like a monkey when the stool fell over. She is definetly my climber. I can NOT take my eyes off of her for even a second- in fact it is a little to quiet in the playroom now!

Pumpkin Spice Lattes
I found this recipe on another blog-- I love Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Lattes and cant wait to try this!
Pumpkin Spice Latte
makes 1-2 servings
Ingredients:
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons canned pumpkin OR 1 teaspoon of Torani Pumpkin Spice Syrup (your choice)
2 tablespoons sugar or sugar substitute - you can halve this amount
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1-2 shots espresso (about 1/4 cup of espresso or 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee if you don't have an espresso machine.)
Directions:
In a saucepan combine milk, pumpkin and sugar and cook on medium heat, stirring, until steaming. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and spice, transfer to a blender and process for 15 seconds until foamy. If you don't have a blender, don't worry about it - just whisk the mixture really well with a wire whisk. Pour into a large mug or two mugs. Add the espresso on top. Optional: Top with whipped cream and sprinkle pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, or cinnamon on top.

anybody want a golden retriever?
This is what I found Sunday morning on my counter! I got up at 6:30 to make sausage cream cheese biscuits- about 48 of them to bring to my sunday school class. I went up stairs to get ready for church and Andy (the dog) at all but 2 of them! Then every day since then I hear the tapping of his feet as he dances around to stand up on his hind legs to steal things off the counter. I have no idea what would make this dog decide to take everything that is left- he is 9 years old! And I know that Sam feeds him everyday?!
I am thinking he is going to be an outside dog during the day!

New pictures
We went to watch the balloons launch in Plano this weekend- unfortunatley they went the opposite way from where we were sitting.
So we ended up going out to eat with Josh & Tracey & our friends Sam & Amanda. You can imagine dinner with 7 kids. We went to a restaraunt that wasn't too crowded so we had a great time.

Wedding pictures
Tracey, Me, & Tiffany at her shower on Saturday afternoon.
We have been friends with Tiffany since we were 15 years old.
We spent alot of weekends at the lake together in high school.
We have so many great memories and we are so excited for her to get married!
Tracey & I getting ready for the rehearsal dinner. It was amazing food. It was hosted at Perry's, which is a very upscale steak house in Austin. Delicious!
Sunday morning we had a wonderful brunch hosted by the grooms family at The Four Seasons. We were so spoiled after this weekend of great food and upscale living!
Here we are in our bridesmaids dresses.
This is Tiffany's mom's shoe! I thought it was probably the fanciest thing I would ever try on! Gorgeous! And she danced all night in those shoes! My feet would have been killing me!
The happy new couple!
Fun ride away from the reception. They took them for a ride down 6th street!
And the wedding party followed. It was a fun ride. We decided we liked traveling by a pedi-cycle.

Mothers Day Out
The crew watching the trash man! This is a Tuesday morning tradition.
Emerson had her first day of preschool today at a new school. She did great- not even a tear! She was SUPER excited about her new backpack. She was supposed to bring a few items in a bag that were her favorite things--- she chose a family picture, a huge pink bow, lipgloss, glitter lotion, and shimmer powder! I told Kirt I was so proud of my girly girl!

What a day!
So Emerson stuck a peanut up her nose today. I tried my hardest to get it out-- we blew her nose, she smelled pepper, I got the suction bulb out-- no success. Of course it is 4:00 so I put all the kids in the car and head to my moms house. We pick her up and head to the ER to have it removed and as we are exiting to the hospital Emerson sneezed and out came the peanut! We were SO excited and we turned around saw the peanut in her lap-- before we could say another word she ate it! We were so thankful the incident was over! I think she was so traumatized that she will never do it again. Of course Sam thought it was hilarious that she ate the peanut. The joys of being 3! Now off to finish up last minute details before the last first birthday party the Ruby's will ever throw!

Ballet class
Here is a picture from Emers first ballet class. Didnt go exactly as I planned- she was VERY shy and stood in the corner closest to the door with her back to the class alot of the time. I had to stay in there with her just to get her to stand on that side of the door. She eventually warmed up and joined the class about 30 minutes into it. She seemed to like it after she got started. She looked so cute- the girls in her class were ages 2-4. Their teacher is fantastic.
