Church Family Sock Hop

Our church hosted a Family Sock Hop- it was so much fun!     The Ruby's definitely enjoyed it!

Grandpa Bob

This Thursday Kirt's grandfather passed away.   We got to go and visit last Saturday and enjoyed our time there.

These are the pictures from our trip to San Antonio in October.     The kids loved to spend time with them and Sam will miss his weekly newspaper clippings that Grandpa Bob sent him each week.

Painting

Last spring our friends, Tim & Jennifer introduced us to Cornerstone Ranch in McKinney.   On Thursdays these special needs adults paint.    They do amazing work- they do 99% of the paintings themselves- we as their "helpers" just guide and encourage them.     The paintings are made into cards & coasters and sold to raise money for Cornerstone Ranch.    Here are a few pictures from this last semester of painting!

Arrow of Light

Sam recieved his cubscout Arrow of Light award last night.   Bittersweet as we end our time in scouting.   We are proud of Sam's accomplishments.

Sam and Kirt made a cake for the Dad and Son cake contest!   It was the first one that was all gone (probably because of all the chocolate)

Celebrate

Tonite we went and celebrated birthdays with my Uncle and Grandmother.    We had a great time.    Here are a few pictures.   I promised I wouldn't put them on facebook so here they are.

Pinewood Derby

This is Sam's last year in Cub Scouts.    Today was his last Pine Wood Derby.     He worked very hard on his car and it ran well.     Max, my nephew won 6th place in the entire troop.     And Caroline & Emerson ran cars in the sibling race and Caroline won 2nd place out of about 16 cars.    They all had a great time!

Six Flags Saturday

Sam & I went to Six Flags on Saturday with his friend and his mom and then the SUPER special guest- HIS TEACHER and her daughter!    Sam was so excited-    Sam has had the same teacher for two years now and we LOVE her.    Her husband actually works with Kirt so she has known Kirt since high school.

Sam and I watched our friends go on the swings above- NO WAY!   TOO high for the Rubys!
