We had dinner and an egg hunt at my mom & dad's house tonight! The kids had SO much fun! They ate so much candy- I can't believe they are asleep with all the sugar!
Then my sister pulled out the confetti eggs! They had a great time smashing eggs on each other and begged Grandpa to come outside to join the fun!

So I found this picture of Chocolate Dipped Peeps- theirs had sprinkles (but I can't find my sprinkles- I know-- what kind of mom doesn't keep sprinkles on hand?!) They must have been packed up with the boxes I have been packing!
Emerson and I went to a friends party at American Girl! Such a good time! Every little girls dream (and the mommies get to come along too). I think I spent more time brushing the doll's hair and getting her boots and dress to match than I did getting myself dressed! Notice the baby doll has a high chair and a tea cup with real lemonade.
Our ABF at church went to the Rough Riders game a few weeks ago. After going and sitting in the outfield on blankets and the kids running around-- this is the way to go with kids! Usually we go to games and the kids are done when the food runs out- not this time- they ran and played! We love our Crosswalk ABF! If you are ever at the Heights you should check us out!
The crew that came over after grandma's funeral-- I am positive Grandma was smiling in heaven as we all got together and enjoyed each other. My church group provided dinner Saturday night for this entire group. We are so blessed by our ABF that coordinated and provided for us in this time! We had so much fun visiting and relaxing on the patio with our family.
The Great Grankids- the upstairs looked like a tornado but they had so much fun.
My Cousins--- me, Krystal, Betty, Clint, Kevin, Monica, Tonya, and Tracey- there are 4 missing but we had so much fun catching up. I don't think I have been to sleep before midnight since last week.
I love this picture of my Grandma Quinn, my mom and all five grandkids. My Grandma went to join my Grandpa in heaven yesterday afternoon. We are all a little in shock but we know that she was at peace about it and we know she is dancing on the streets of gold with our Heavenly Father. 
We went to the Maverick Game Friday night with the Boyscouts. We had such a good time- well actually they all lost intrest when we ran out of food and snacks. So we lasted about an hour and a half. Caroline loved walking up to the American Airlines Center- she loved the lights in Victory Park and kept say "I go there? I go there?" She was so excited- life through the eyes of a two year old is so refreshing!

I made cupcakes last night just so I could try this new recipe. I found it on Pioneer Woman. It is seriously the BEST Frosting recipe I have ever eaten. I usually bake and then pass them out to my neighbors just so I can get them out of my house. I can't quit eating these- they are that delicious. I have no self control! You should definetly try them! I know it sounds weird to have real sugar and flour in a frosting recipe but you have to try it to believe it!

Lucy, Halle, and Emerson- I hope that these girls will be life-long friends. I worked with both of their moms on the pedi floor.

Fashion rule #1- leggings are NOT pants!
She loves this outfit- the linen romper with her knee socks and boots- it was 40 degrees outside
We need to clarify the no horizontal stripes and vertical stripes in the same outfit rule!
Fashion No-No- you do not mix brown and black- she usually picks the socks and shoes out first then plans the outfit accordingly! Hilarious- we had a friend to play the other day and she asked Lucy Kate if she wanted to come and look at all of her shoes.
Day 3 of ice- it is too cold to play outside and not fun to fall on the ice. I have made soup, chili, enchiladas, and cupcakes. We will eat our way through this ice storm. I was cleaning up after breakfast (biscuits and gravy) and I found the kids sliding down the stairs in their sleeping bags- they were laughing hysterically. I let them do it a few times then I rolled up the sleeping bags.
Yes she was laying backwards on her head- she didn't go down this way- she was just relaxing!
The ice storm hit Tuesday so no school- we spent a cozy day at home making soup and watching a movie. The kids were so sweet and Kirt even stayed home from work. Caroline and I are both sick again so we took a nap and relaxed.
THEN WEDNSDAY COMES.... not so cozy and cuddly anymore- between the rolling blackouts and eating our way through the day--they are destroying my house and every toy and crayon has been touched today! Then to top it all off (see picture below)
Miss Caroline Rose has escaped from her crib. Really? of all days- TODAY? I think they know I am defeated. I am not sure I can handle another snow day tomorrow! I can't even try to sleep off my illness because there is no napping for these little monkeys! Kirt can't get home quick enough!
(And yes, I know Caroline is wearing a halloween shirt and polka dot tights but it doesn't even bother me at this point)
