Thanksgiving & the Lake

My dad and Emerson
Caroline & my Grandpa
Brooke & Sam playing with the Wii at my Grandma's house
The men's table plus Caroline--- notice all of the other children had moved into the other room with the women. We had left the men in the kitchen for a reason--- but they were the ones who ended up getting to visit and we talked around playful children!
Brian was very proud of his fire!
Even Caroline enjoyed the fire and cool night!
Emerson and Jessie were so happy to play together. They all play so nice together!
Can you believe Sam caught this catfish! It was really big. He was so proud!

Apothecaries

Aren't thse so cute! We made them today at Tracey's house. And yes, I already have my house decorated for Christmas. We put our tree up on Sunday and I finished my mantel today! Since we are not hosting Thanksgiving or Sam's birthday party at our house we thought we would go ahead and decorate!

I'm in the crafty mood

I made this cute initial board that I saw in Canton last month. SO CUTE-- they were selling them for $100 with a frame around them! So I made my own, I will get a frame next time they go on sale at Hobby Lobby. But until then I think it turned out pretty cute!
This is Caroline's chair- I recoverd it today. She knows this is her chair and she cries and tries to pull Emerson out of it. Thanks Grandma Karen for my new chair! This is a stand that was red color and in Sam's room when he was a baby. I painted it and I think it turned out really good. When I look at it I think I should have done that A LONG time ago!
This is what I am doing for teacher gifts this year. They are coasters! I found this great blog that has all the great ideas! http://www.shanty2chic.blogspot.com/
In fact tomorrow we are having a craft/playdate and making apothecaries!

Mommy's helper

Emerson and I made chicken and dumplings for dinner Sunday night. She had so much fun helping and rolling the dough and stirring. She wants to wear her apron ALL the time!

Our little diva

I can't even think of the last time Emerson slept in pajamas. We put her jammies on her everynight and then this is what we find the next morning....she gets into her closet and puts a dress over her jammies. EVERY NIGHT.

Put-Put Fun

We had a fun family night tonite and had pizza and putt-putt. We had so much fun. Then we let Sam hit balls at the batting cages. I can't believe the weather is so warm in November!

Caroline

What a week! Caroline spiked a fever Monday night and maybe or maybe not had the flu. We put her on tamiflu just to be on the safe side. Our pedi said that 70% of the negative tests are actually positive and since she is so little he just went ahead and put her on the anti-viral drug. She was feeling much better by Wed morning. We have been working so hard to get her to walk and FINALLY (after much practice) she stood up and took a few steps. Sweet girl has never even stood by herself more than a few seconds and she was sitting down and stood up and walked about 3 or 4 steps. Emerson and I probably scared her to death because our celebration and clapping for her! She hasn't done it again but she smiles real big when I try to help her walk! I will try to load some pictures--- my computer is acting up!
