Cubscout Family Camp

we went on a family campout with the cubscouts this weekend. We went to a state park about an hour and a half away. It was going to be an adventure with a 1 year old, 3 year old and 7 year old! We only stayed Friday night but we crammed a whole lota fun into that!
We made smores and roasted marshmallows
This was breakfast Saturday--- the more experienced campers made an entire breakfast--- pancakes, sausage, bacon (which you see above cooked over a campfire), and scrambled eggs.
We then packed up and drove 20 minutes to the Texas Freshwater Fishery. The kids fished in 3 ponds and we did the catch and release. This momma is NOT into cleaning fish as a matter of fact I don't even touch them- Kirt takes them off the line! It makes me laugh becuase growing up my Uncle Royce always said okay I will show you how to bait your hook one more time after the 10th time and so we learned to go ask my Grandpa- he always baits our hooks and he still would for the 100th time- he called it Princess Fishing when you basically just cast and hold the pole.
After about 15 minutes we had already caught 3 fish- 2 catfish and one sunfish/perch. Then the girls got bored so we went and fed our bread to the ducks.
