This is part of our Sunday school class at our church. Today The Heights mobilized and went into the community. Every year our church does a "Go and Be" and we "Engage" with the community. God calls us to be servants and today we definetly did just that. Kirt and I recently became directors of our class, Crosswalk. We have an awesome group of people and everyone has such wonderful hearts to serve and share with others. Our bus went to Cornerstone Baptist Church in South Dallas. This church serves and loves on the people in the neighborhood by providing housing and food and minstry to the people who need it. When we first drove up there were 2 homeless men sleeping in front of the Cornerstone Kitchen building. Our group cleaned and organized and painted the kitchen. We were blessed to be a part of this experience and Sam learned so much too. This is what our chuch is all about- serving others and demonstrating God's love with our actions and words!
